Part 1
问 "Do you like cooking?",答 "Yes, I do."
(Yes / Not really / It depends)
说 "I like reading books" 谁都会;说 "I've been working through a stack of secondhand crime novels my aunt left behind" 就出现了 work through、secondhand、stack、leave behind——这些词你不落到具体是用不上的。
Well, that's a very interesting question. Let me think about it for a moment.
Hmm、Actually, yes—、I suppose so。
Do you enjoy cooking?
A. Yes, I really enjoy cooking. Cooking is a very good hobby and it can make people relaxed. Also, cooking is healthy because you know what you put in the food.
B. Not really, to be honest. I live on my own so it feels like a lot of effort for one person. I usually just throw together some pasta after work and call it dinner. Weekends are different though — that's when I actually cook.
Where do you live?
A. I live in an apartment.
B. I live in a small flat on the north side of the city, about twenty minutes from the station. It's nothing special, but it's quiet and the rent is reasonable, which matters more to me right now.
Do you prefer to study in the morning or in the evening?
A. That's a really interesting question. Well, I think both of them have advantages and disadvantages. In the morning, people are fresh, but in the evening, it is quiet. So it depends on the situation and on the person.
B. Evening, definitely. I'm useless before about ten in the morning — I'll read the same paragraph three times and take nothing in. After dinner something clicks and I can go for a couple of hours without noticing.
P4 Do you use public transport often?
Almost every day, actually. I don't drive, so it's really my only option. ______
P5 What kind of music do you listen to?
It changes depending on what I'm doing. When I'm working I need something without words. ______
P6 Do you like your hometown?
I do, though I'd struggle to live there again. It's a small place and everyone knows everyone. ______
Do you like reading? — Absolutely, I'm an avid reader. I would say that reading is unquestionably one of the most beneficial activities that a person can engage in, since it broadens one's horizons, enhances one's vocabulary, and cultivates critical thinking skills. Furthermore, in this digital era, reading physical books allows us to disconnect from the overwhelming stimulation of screens and reconnect with a slower, more contemplative mode of existence.
Do you often meet your friends? — Yes, quite often. We usually meet at weekends because everyone is busy during the week. It's good to see them.
- Do you work or are you a student?
- What do you usually do at weekends?
- Is there anything you'd like to change about your home?
- Do you prefer texting or calling?
- How often do you check the weather forecast?
- Did you enjoy your school days?
- Do you think you'll take up any new hobbies in the future?
- Is there a place in your city you often take visitors to?
I live on my own 是具体处境;throw together some pasta and call it dinner 是画面;最后 Weekends are different though 轻轻往外带了一句,给了考官一个可以追问的钩子。
B 里值得注意的是最后半句 which matters more to me right now。
That's a really interesting question— 背来的开场白,零信息,还占掉 3 秒both have advantages and disadvantages— Part 1 里最该避免的答法。 考官要的是你的偏好,不是平衡报道it depends on the situation and on the person— 同上,而且是空话收尾
I'm useless before about ten in the morning
...Almost every day, actually. I don't drive, so it's really my only option. There's a bus that stops right outside my building and gets me to work in about twenty minutes, which is honestly faster than driving would be at that hour. The only downside is it's packed by the time it reaches my stop.
...It changes depending on what I'm doing. When I'm working I need something without words. Usually that ends up being film scores — I've had the same Hans Zimmer playlist on repeat for about two years now, which probably says something about me. In the car it's completely different, that's when I put on whatever I grew up with.
...I do, though I'd struggle to live there again. It's a small place and everyone knows everyone. That was lovely when I was a kid — I could walk to a friend's house without telling anyone where I was going. As an adult it feels a bit close, so I visit for a few days at a time and that's about right.
unquestionably、broadens one's horizons、cultivates critical thinking skills、a slower, more contemplative mode of existence——这是书面议论文的语言,被塞进了一场闲聊。descriptor 里 Lexical Resource 明写着with some awareness of style,用错语域是扣分的。
Furthermore+in this digital era,
Part 1
Yeah, a lot. Mostly crime novels — my aunt left a whole stack of them behind when she moved and I've been slowly working through them. It's the one thing that gets me off my phone in the evening.
短得多,词其实更好(work through、get sb off、stack),而且是活人说的话。
这个回答有第 1 步(Yes, quite often)、有第 2 步(because everyone is busy)、有第 4 步(It's good to see them),唯独跳过了具体。
It's good to see them
Yes, quite often. We usually meet at weekends because everyone's busy during the week. There's a noodle place near the station we've been going to for years — same table, same order, nobody even suggests anywhere else anymore. It's become a bit of a routine, which I like.
多的那一句里出现了 for years、same table, same order、nobody even suggests ——具体细节是词汇的产房。
1. 问 Do you like cooking? 回答 Yes, I do.
Part 3
both have advantages and disadvantages、书面议论文语域 - 卡住时找对比:以前 vs 现在、工作日 vs 周末、我 vs 我朋友
